Bridgeville, DE- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating the burglary of a Bridgeville home in which the suspects shot at a male resident yesterday afternoon in Bridgeville.
The incident began at approximately 12:00 p.m. on Thursday as a 21 year old resident of a home located in the 16000 block of Sand Hill Road west of Bridgeville, arrived home to find a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway. The victim then observed two male suspects exiting the home and realized that he had interrupted a burglary. The victim, who was still seated in his car, then backed out of the driveway and began fleeing on Sand Hill Road. As he did, the suspects entered their car, described as a silver Ford Focus or Fusion, and began chasing the victim. The driver of the suspect vehicle, described as a black male, 6’00”-6’02” tall with braided hair, then fired two rounds from a handgun at him before fleeing southbound on Atlanta Road. The victim was not injured. Further investigation by responding troopers revealed that the suspects had removed jewelry and other personal items from the residence.
