Unemployment Falls To 8.6 Percent
The unemployment rate fell last month to its lowest level in more than two and a half years, as employers stepped up hiring in response to the slowly improving economy.
Just like every other recent 'good news' figure coming out of this administration, I'm sure it will be revised (to reflect the real number) in about 45 days when nobody is paying attention...
8.6; are they joking? they expect the flyovers and hinderlanders to really believe this. full of crap; i say. it's much higher than this but i forgot; they use "voodoo economics.
I agree, if it is indeed down, they are more than likely using seasonal employees that are part time with no benefits. These figures shouldn't even be counted.
I just saw an economist on MPT say that this would be reflective of an increase in GDP of 5% - and that just isn't happening. These figures arent accurate. The government is manipulating these numbers to:
A) increase consumer confidence, and;
B) to bring Obama's approval ratings up as we quickly approach an election year.
The stock market ups and downs are more indicative of day traders raping the system than they are true indicators of our nations economic health. Unfortunately there are fools who believe this B/S and will put their money in the pool only to be picked off by the vultures. Time is short. This "economic uptick" is as false as the economy itself. Think internally. Get your family secure with food, clothing, etc. because soo those who fail to plan will be after what you have.
They can spin this anyway they want because they know an election year is coming. There is fantasy and then there is reality. They are including the under employed and part time employees working 20 hours or less. When the the Christmas season is over, it will go right back up once again. They are also not counting the ones who have run out of unemployment or who have simply stopped looking. Unemployment hits all segments of society. Especially the very young and the very old. There is age discrimination for those over fifty and under 20. Having a college degree is no longer a guarantee of a good job, but can be a liability when looking for the lower paying jobs that are out there.

Probably fell due to businesses hiring seasonal Christmas help
