Research published in the Journal of Organizational Behavior found that people who are regularly stressed out by the office jerk are more likely to take that stress home with them — and pass it on to whoever is unfortunate enough to be cohabiting with them.

Absolutely. From time to time I still fantasize about killing some of the ass-wipes I have had to put up with over the years.

i agree some go so far as to suggest silly lawsuits against coworkers spouses to these coworkers i say sue dees...dees nuts!
The work place has become the largest gossip place in the world.
Just remember , the work place is NOT a democracy , your boss can tell you what to do and when to do it , as long as it is safe and legal. The unions of this country think that democracy exists in the work place. It exist when you leave the work place , so , get over it.
I would like to make the point that government workers are the biggest BS artists and know one tells them what to do.

It sucks to know you work your butt off and have to tolerate people who come to work, expect a check for ditching all of their assigned job duties from every angle.
It's like working with someone getting a welfare check. It does create stress.
Not in all cases, however many times you can tell who the slackers are who just sit down on the clock as much as they can get away with.
They need signs on their backs declaring, "Wide Load."
Bullies don't only exist on the playground, they exist in the workplace also. The central office at the BOE has 2 bullies who happen to be married to each other.
Yeah I had an exboss that was so toxic. He sexually harassed me and even stalked me and paid several thousand's of dollars to have my phone tapped, my computer hacked, and my car GPS'd. The man was insane. He went to the extreme of paying a neighbor to put a camper in their yard so he could watch who was coming to my house. Luckily, I have close contact to a very strong national organization that is very powerful in handling these kinds of issues. It helps to have friends like the VP's daughter too. I'm telling you this one takes the cake on the insanity scale. He has multipersonality disorder. At times he would go by different names and see himself as different people. Poor thing. Something must have happened in the suckling stage of his development.

If that's true you need to report him to someone, outside the workplace. He sounds like he could be dangerous. Don't wait until someone gets hurt.
