Hurricane Could Arrive To Chesapeake Bay By Sunday

Forecasters say there is a possibility Irene could move into the Chesapeake Bay as a hurricane by late this weekend.
Projections from the National Hurricane Center in Miami show Irene could make landfall on the North Carolina coast, then move toward the north into the Chesapeake Bay area on Sunday.
The updated forecast released Tuesday morning said Irene currently was centered about 70 miles south of Grand Turk Island. It was moving west-northwest at 12 mph with maximum sustained winds near 100 mph.

possibility Irene could move into the Chesapeake Bay as a hurricane. possibility Irene could move east out to sea too. but that won't sell extra milk and bread.

The models keep shifting it further and further east. The more they hype a storm, the less impact it has. Watch it be a total bust.

IF it does go up the bay, that puts Delmarva on the East side of her, the most dangerous side.
You people just keep mocking. You'd better be prepared if this happens! There will be a LOT of damage locally in this scenario!
Better SAFE than SORRY!

My house was built in 1954, most likely I would ride it out right here with extra food and water I already have.

I think it was 1985 when I was living in OC we evacuated and drove 100 miles inland just to have the Hurricane come up the bay and right over the cleap motel we had evacuated to.

Weather forcasters can predict, however it's usually not until the day before that you really know what it's going to do.

People in the gulf states go through that so much that's why it's hard to get some people to evacuate.
