How Much Worse Can It Get

Well, I guess we should just start getting used to this kind of blight when the Mayor and City Council continue to remain blind as to what's going on right in front of their eyes.

Graffiti, stickers, trash, a stolen Welcome To Salisbury Sign, homeless living on the Downtown Plaza, prostitutes soliciting themselves in front of the Government Office Building.

The Mayor is too afraid of lawsuits from the homeless to do anything about it, stating they have a constitutional right to live wherever they want. UNBELIEVABLE! Yet the City can't afford to house the larger volume of homeless people on the streets every day because of his hero Obama and their liberal ways.

So, get used to this Folks because the pictures I provide simply don't lie.

Worse then you can imagine.

You should look at the Salisbury Park. I've never see it so poorly maintained! The river is filthy and weeds along the river bank and trash everywhere! Grass also looks like it hasn't seen a mower in weeks!

CHANGE!

Maybe Ireton and Stevenson should spend more time getting rid of this that trying to kill the Housing Appeal Board.

The Salisbury Park is down right scary. A good place to stay away from.

Looks like a Chesapeake Waste problem instead of a tax payers problem. Who is suppose to pay the bill for the removal? If the bill hasnt been paid then why is C.W.'s dumpster still there to be filled?

Is the city responsible for garbage pick up in this picture?

ireton and city leaders have no clue. how many of them are actually from this area? do they love our community? you tell me... you sure can't tell by the way they allow our dear city to deteriorate and fall in disrepair. looks like detroit; just on a smaller scale.

when we grew up here the city was a jewel and was always clean and well kept.

wake up city leaders and do your job well or we're voting you out. you're out of your league and not able to lead.

anonymous 8:49, Look, it IS a City problem. You PAY Code & Compliance people to keep things like this in check. Mind you, it's now a call in complaint department now because they're way too busy to SEE things like this. So, that's what Salisbury News and the Citizens are out there for. We keep situations like this in check.

More importantly, since the Mayor seems to claim to travel all around the City and claim we're lying about certain cituations like we expressed in a letter to the editor today, this is proof he is blind OR in complete denial.

Prostituton is crazy. My husband was approached by a prostitute when I was with him Thursday afternoon. I was standing far back when she approached him. Some tall blonde.

Joe are you sure you did not cut and paste these pixs?

After all was not Salisbury name one the blah blah greatest cities in the whole wide world?

Salisbury has seen its hay day. Where are the Paul Martins and Chief Coulborn Dykes that once made our city great.

6:25 You are correct where is Chief Dykes and Mayor Martin

The Mayor & Council love to talk and do nothing.

The City grabs millions in taxes and fees from downtown and laughs all the way to the bank.

When I first saw Salisbury, while awaiting a bus that would transport me the Chincoteague Naval Air Staion, my first thoughts were, what a quaint, nice little town. Liked it so well, that I met a wonderfuly woman in Salisbury and spent 40 some years living there, raising children and enjoying the area. I realize that all things change but the change in Salisbury is pitiful. As mentioned by others, people like Dkyes, Martin, Morris, etc have to be shaking their heads over the demise of what used to be such a nice area Grrrrrrrr

I know exactly where that place is. It is right behind/between Peninsula Plastic Surgery and Dr. Rosenthal's Pain Management Clinic. I have complained to Neighborhood Services and Code Compliance numerous times about it and they are to lazy to get out and do their jobs. That is the most worthless department in the City of Salisbury. Get rid of all of them.

And don't forget to mention those ghetto apartments belong to Slum Lord Michael Wiesner.
