FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. -- She was congratulated by the President of the United States in May for being named the teacher of the year.
Now, Michele Shearer is recognized as the first teacher from Frederick County to ever reach this level.
The Urbana High School chemistry teacher has had a whirlwind summer and a lot of recognition, but she keeps a level head about it all.
