it should be
prerogative
discrimination

I drove past Pizza Hut yesterday and saw five employees outside smoking. Was anyone inside working? It's a stupid, disgusting habit that inhibits productivity.

i bet less time is lost to smoking then to web surfing

The employer should have the right to choose whether they want to employ a smoker. Personally I'd rather have smokers than (and I know I'm going to get hammered for this) a mother. It seems mothers are always having child care issues or sick kids!!!

No matter what opinions are, discrimination is discrimination. Either you are against discrimination or you are not. You do not have the right to discriminate against some things but not others.

ive been thinking about this more
nonsmokers outnumber smokers

therefore smokers should be considered a minority group
and thus be protected.

smokers are filthy. they stink. Of course it's discrimination and it's illegal but it happens everywhere.

Private corporations can get away with this kind of stuff. I dont want a smoker working in my company. His health insurance may cost me a little extra
