New claims for unemployment benefits fell to 398,000 last week from 422,000 the week prior, checking in at the lowest level since the week ending April 2.

It will be interesting how Obama put a spin on this.They never count those who have "Fallen off" the list becouse of exhausted benifits.
No more extentions make for a better looking picture.
9:17, I was thinking the same thing. What a load of crap. This is somewhat misleading but, if you're able to read it for what it really is "jobless claims" (<----unemployment benefits filings) nothing has changed. There are still alot of folks out of work and no jobs to be had.
The real number to watch is the growth in jobs created
