Salisbury Police Department Pres Release

On July 13, 2011 at approximately 10:30 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to a local pharmacy in reference to suspicious circumstances regarding the filling of a prescription. Upon arrival the officers were told that the suspect had left the area, however the officers met with pharmacy personnel who were able to provide a description of the suspect. The employees advised the officers that the pharmacy had just filled a legitimate prescription for a large quantity of oxycotin. As the employees watched, the subject that filled the prescription met in the parking lot of the pharmacy with the below listed suspect and appeared to be involved in the transfer of a quantity of the oxycotin. Utilizing the description, Salisbury officers located the suspect and found the suspect in possession of the oxycotin without a prescription. This investigation is continuing.

ARRESTED: Ryan Thomas Powell, 27 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES:
Possession of Oxycotin
Possession of Oxycotin with the intent to distribute


DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking
