It is NOT racist. People in general are ignorant of the facts regarding welfare and food stamps.
Ahhhh, the race card....pick a card- any card -- they're ALL race cards. The FIRST thing black people say when criticized about welfare is that there are more white people on welfare than black people (in a purely numerical sense, but NOT as a percentage of population). BUT, as soon as someone says "food stamps" in the same sentence as Obama (or any black person), the race card is pulled out and slammed down on the table. Either more white people are on welfare and food stamps (and therefore, the race card is trumped) or some people are a lot more sensitive than the facts would warrant.
Newt is right. More people are on food stamps under Obama than other other President ever in the history of the country. Congrats Obama, you're policies are doing wonders!
There are more white people than black using food stamps so how can that be racist. The Democrats find Newt a threat so they are going to do to him what they do to all Republican candidates. Truly the reason why there are more on food stamps now is that the illegal immigrants are allowed to get them with no questions asked.
Newt has no chance of winning the presidency--too much baggage. He knows it. Ignorant statements like this are designed to get him media coverage and more book sales. His "campaign" is designed to enrich himself--nothing else.
I just wanna figure out how so many people drive brand new cars and still qualify for free food for life.....I have NEVER seen someone use that card and load groceries into anything pre-2008

You have idiots in the media and on the left who pull the race card in order to stoke emotions, get you to watch their programs, or vote how they want you to. Kind of like all the idiots on the right who pull the "birther" "socialist" "muslim terrorist" card to stoke emotions, get you to watch their programs, or vote how they want you to.
I don't know who gets the most food stamps, black or white, but I did read that the two "entitlement" programs of welfare and medicaid increased by like 54% last year. I think it would be safe to say that happened under Obama's watch.
We would all be lucky to have Newt as President he has the best understanding of whats going on and how to fix it.
8:55, sure thing. Newt's plan is to do the opposite of whatever he thinks Obama would do, even if it means contradicting himself when Obama actually does what Newt supported at first
don't fall for it. If Gingrich is elected we will have elected the lesser of two evils once again. Gingrich is a typical party politician who will sacrifice the constitution and the American public for the party whenever necessary. He will continue to put our nation in debt but he will justify it using different philosophies than Obama and the libs. Change is needed but lets not waste what is possibly the last opportunity to bring this country back to it's constitutional foundings. If we keep heading in this direction, regardless of what major political party is at the wheel, we may see violence in the streets. Many people are running out of unemployment and will be hungry very soon. They are running out of options. How far would you go to feed your family? We may soon know.
