LSLT Press Release

Public invited to attend Stewardship Volunteer Information Session

Ocean Pines - With your help, our local landowners will know that their conserved properties will continue to promote healthy water quality, wildlife habitat, and working landscapes throughout communities of the Lower Eastern Shore.

Lower Shore Land Trust (LSLT) and Mac Incorporated’s Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) invite the public to learn more about land conservation in our region and volunteer opportunities with LSLT at the Ocean Pines Library for a Volunteer Information Session on Thursday, January 20, 2011 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.

Participants will enjoy snacks and beverages while learning about Lower Shore Land Trust’s work to preserve local lands, RSVP’s success at connecting volunteers with nonprofit organizations needing assistance, and stewardship volunteer opportunities to monitor protected properties throughout Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester counties.

Presentations will be provided by LSLT’s Executive Director, Kate Patton, LSLT’s Volunteer Maryland Coordinator, Krista Hozyash, and MAC Inc. RSVP’s Project Director, Valerie Wagner.

For more information about this event, please contact Krista Hozyash, Volunteer Maryland Coordinator of Lower Shore Land Trust at 410-641-4467, or khozyash@lowershorelandtrust.org.
