STATEMENT FROM O'MALLEY-BROWN CAMPAIGN ON BOB EHRLICH'S LATEST MISLEADING AD

Baltimore, MD (October 19, 2010) -- In response to Bob Ehrlich's newest TV ad, O'Malley-Brown Deputy Campaign Manager Rick Abbruzzese issued the following statement:

"Bob Ehrlich's newest misleading ad has one big problem--Marylanders have learned they can't trust Ehrlich's empty promises. They know Ehrlich raised $3 billion in taxes and fees on Maryland families and businesses--then repeatedly denied it.  They know Ehrlich jacked up college tuition by 40% and put higher education opportunities out of reach for many Maryland families.  They know Ehrlich failed to invest in public schools in easier times and is now openly pledging to cut funding for schools if elected.  And they know Ehrlich enriched himself to the tune of $2.5 million as a hired gun for a special interest lobbying firm.
"The reason that Marylanders are rallying behind Governor Martin O'Malley heading into the final two weeks of this campaign is that Governor O'Malley has been and will always be on their side when it comes to important issues like creating jobs, expanding educational opportunity, and protecting core priorities in tough times."

O'Malley raised sales tax from 5% to 6% (20%)increase in sales tax) and call Ehrlich a tax raiser. I pay sales tax EVERYDAY, have you people forgotten! look at O'Malleys tv ad , a women said "if it comes out of my wallet its a tax come on Bob" thats one dumb women! I guess she thinks when she spends money when O'Malley is in office she is not paying sales tax.
I was a whole lot better off with the last govenor.

I hope that Marylanders will not just go to the polls and vote party lines. Do your homework people and you will learn the truth.
Ehrlich did NOT raise taxes - O'Malley did.
Ehrlich did NOT raise tuition - O'Malley did and further it was Ehrlich who initially froze it.
Ehrlich worked hard to overturn the legislation passed during Gov. Glendennings administration, a democrat, that allowed utility companies to raise rates.
And it was O'Malley who, once in office, gave a raise to the head of the public works rather than working to keep utility rates high.

The score is Ehrlich has integrity and truthfulness while O'Malley is a thug and a flat out liar.

O'Malley continues to complain about fees that Ehrlich raised but in four years O'Malley never rescinded any of them. isn't that odd???

A vote for an incumbent, or a Democrat, is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders.

Let's see O'Malley raised all of our taxes and and lost thousands of Marylands jobs. Sounds like a failure to me. Time for a new Governor.
