By the unanimous consent of the Wicomico County Council, Gail M. Bartkovich, County Council President, announced today the appointment of James Stephen Roser, CPA to the position of County Internal Auditor. A Wicomico County resident, Mr. Roser is a graduate of University of Maryland Baltimore County, BA and Salisbury University, MBA-Accounting. Mr. Roser is a Maryland-licensed Certified Public Accountant with prior experience as a practicing CPA in the private sector. He will begin his county service on November 4, 2010. The County Council has approved a salary for the Internal Auditor of $69,000.
The County Internal Auditor prepares and submits to the County Council and the County Executive reports on internal accounting control, administrative and operational practices, procedures and other pertinent financial and compliance matters. As directed by the County Council, the Internal Auditor’s duties may include operational and performance auditing of any office, department, or agency which receives county funds.
The County Internal Auditor reports directly to the County Council and serves at its pleasure.
Wicomico County Executive Richard M. Pollitt, Jr., commented, “I offer congratulations to the Council on filling this important position. I am eager to work with the newly-appointed Internal Auditor.”
County Council President Gail Bartkovich said, “The County Council is very pleased that Mr. Roser was our unanimous choice to be the county’s Internal Auditor.”

that's real nice i thought the county has a hiring freeze. what's this? where did this money come? somebody must have had a stash hidden probably pollitt /shea they dug up hidden jar.what about all us county employees, who bust their butts and have not gotten raise in the past 3 years.this is a slap in the mouth.but pollitt can give all his cronies a fat $5000.00 gift.thank god the election is coming not soon enough.politt ,shea creamer etc the crooks of corruption will be gone. ollinger is the man 2 run the big show he will clean house. yeah babe ,adios amf .
