Salisbury Police Department Press Releases

On October 18, 2010 at approximately 7:37 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the one thousand (1000) block of Roger Street for the report of a fight in progress. Upon arrival the officers met with victims and witnesses who advised that the below listed four (4) subjects had been involved in a physical altercation with each other. The officers calmed the situation and left the area but were called back a short time later for a continuance of the altercation with the same suspects. The four (4) suspects were taken into custody and during the arrest, suspect # 1 assaulted the arresting officer.

ARRESTED #1: Juvenile male, 16 years of age

CHARGES: Second degree assault (2 counts)
ARRESTED #2: Juvenile female, 16 years of age

DISPOSITION: All released to parents/guardian

On October 18, 2010 at approximately 11:15 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to a residence on Georgia Avenue for the report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival the officers met with a female victim and witnesses who advised the officers that the below listed suspect had assaulted two (2) family members causing minor injuries. The injuries did not require medical attention.

ARRESTED: Rodney Charon Ballard, 33 years of age
Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES: Second degree assault (2 counts)
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking
