Joe,
I received this post card in the mail, and while comparing candidates I looked up HB 683 and found that Norm Conway’s name does not appear anywhere on the bill, nor does it appear on HB 407, which was last year’s version, neither as a Sponsor nor a Co- sponsor. I called both the NRA and Conway’s office today to ask for the lowdown on this, as Conway’s own website’s list of bills he either sponsored or co-sponsored doesn’t list this one either.
After speaking with both Norm Conway’s office and the NRA-ILA office, neither could find that this was true, either. The NRA-ILA promised me that they would send out a corrective email to its members if they continue to find no sponsorship on this issue.
They did, however, state that Norm has in the past been a favorable voter on 2nd Amendment issues, hence his A rating which is shared by McDermott and Pusey as well.

FYI, The post card was an orange voter alert that Norm Conway had sponsored HB683, which would have repealed the MSP requirement that a person has good or substantial reason to be issued a concealed carry permit.
Norm never sponsored the bill, and its never made out of committee for a vote.
NRA-ILA is intending to send out a corrective email.

Orson,
Thank you for the info.
Big Government and World Government have an agenda to take away our guns.
How can any candidate get elected without the required millions of dollars for campaign finance if he/she says they are in favor or the 2nd ammendment.
Most candidates lie about the 2nd ammendment. Most of them do not favor gun ownership because there is too much money going the other way.
It is a fact of life. This government intends to disarm us.
500 pm Tell them to start with me. That way there won't be so many coming your way.
0h good grief the NRA is as done as the Christian Coalition
