Over 5,000 Vaccinated In Two-Day Clinic at Perdue Stadium
Salisbury, MD – For a fifth consecutive year, the Delmarva Shorebirds and Peninsula Regional Medical Center partnered to put on a “Drive-Thru” Flu Clinic in the parking lot of Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. PRMC administered vaccinations on Thursday, October 21 and Friday, October 22 from 10 am until 6 pm.
“We treasure our relationship with PRMC and we look forward to lending our parking lot to them each and every year,” said general manager Chris Bitters. “We hope that people continue to take advantage of the convenience and care that the “Drive-Thru” clinic provides.”
This year, the two-day clinic administered approximately 5,000 vaccinations according to PRMC Director of Community Relations, Roger Follebout, Jr.
“It has been an incredible relationship with the Delmarva Shorebirds,” said Follebout. “The Shorebirds have provided us with everything we need to successful run this clinic to accommodate over 5,000 people.”
Peninsula Regional Medical Center has effectively used the “Drive-Thru” model for the last 17 years. The clinic was previously run at the hospital until PRMC went in search of a bigger venue.
“We went looking for a venue that could accommodate 7,000 cars over two days and we found it at Perdue Stadium.” said Follebout. “If we can vaccinate 5,000 people, that’s 5,000 people that won’t get the flu this year.”
Including nurses, hospital administrators and volunteers, between 75-100 people assisted in the overall operation of the clinic.

The flu vaccine is a sham pushed by the drug industry. While useful for the elderly, it's near pointless for most of the population.
last year the H1N1 and the regular vaccine were two different shots. You had a choice if you wanted the H1N1 or not. So I guess because alot of people didn't take it and only took the regular flu shot, they combined them this year. I usually get the regular flu shot every year but am declining this year because I want no parts of the H1N1. Who are these people to decide to try and force us to take what we don't want. I know someone who is still using a wheelchair and walker from the H1N1 last year. I think I will take my chances on getting the flu because I'm not being forced to take it just to get the regular flu shot.

A relative of mine lost his wife seveal years ago. It all began with the Flu. She left work on Thursday, home remedies over weekend, Dr. appointment on Monday.
He immediately admitted her to hospital, on respriator and within the week, she had passed away. She was only 52.
I alway get the Flu shot! Make sense to me.
I usually go over there each year and get my flu shot too but like another commenter stated, I want NO part of the H1N1. Remember how "bad" they said it was going to be? More people die from the regular flu than died of H1N1.
So this year - I, too, have declined the flu shot.
