NBA Commissioner: Cut Player Salaries By 35%

NBA Commisioner David Stern says the league must become 'profitable' and needs to reduce costs. The front office wants to cut about $800 million from player salaries.

That'll happen.

So what are the owners and the league itself cutting? Truthfully, I haven't looked at the books, but it sounds like someone doesn't like the fact that they made 100 million this year instead of 200 million. Got to find a way to get back to last year's profits.

As long as the NBA is a bunch of ego-driven thugs showboating their "skreet skeels" and flaunting their bling, they will CONTINUE to see falling ticket sales....its WHITE PEOPLE that buy the tickets and if you've been to a game lately, you know -- they hardly even act like they want to win...sloppy play, walking up and down the court, etc. If I'm going to pay the prices they want us to pay, then I want to see some hustle and desire. I'm NOT interested in making sure LeBron gets another Ferrari...or David Stern buys ANOTHER vacation home in the mountains...that league is in TROUBLE plenty...

If the NBA does not play, does anyone notice? This is why, for me, basketball season ends after the NCAA Championship.
