Two students who released a foul-smelling odor while riding a school bus last week could face suspension or expulsion from their school, according to a letter sent to parents by Middletown High School Principal Jay Berno.
Each student was charged with reckless endangerment and disturbing school activities and released to the custody of a parent, said Maryland State Police Cpl. Matthew Cantwell. The case has been referred to the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services, Cantwell said.
The Department of Juvenile Services declined to comment this week.
The incident occurred as the bus was traveling on U.S. 15 north of Jefferson Street at about 2 p.m. Oct. 14. The bus was carrying 36 students at the time.
State's Attorney Charlie Smith also declined to comment, citing the confidential nature of juvenile cases.
The driver of the school bus vomited as a result of the odor, Cantwell said.

was only a prank. thats what kids are suppose to do. would you rather they cut up the seats or spray paint gang signs. some people hate kids.
Really driver, the stink was sooo bad you vomited, but none of the kids did? Put the kids in ISS for a day or two and find a driver that is not a pansy.
Let's see, we have kids selling drugs to other kids, setting things on fire, starting fights, attacking police officers, committing home invasions, and all other manner of crimes, and DJS is contemplating giving a juvie record to a couple of kids for releasing FART SPRAY?!?!?!?!? What in heaven's name is going on? On another note, the school system is contemplating expelling the same kids and ruining their lives for an ill-concieved prank? We have a seriously screwed-up set of priorities.

Kids being kids, nothing more. I'd rather they be doing something like this than killing each other. As for the bus driver, get a job that doesn't involve kids, maybe your stomach won't get turned so easily.
The MSP is involved in this? Good grief. Great use of their time, I'm sure. What a joke. I guess it figures with our nanny state society we have now. Someone slipped on a banana peel? OMG, call the swat team!!!
This is a cake walk compared to some of the things I did as a kid.
Kid needs to eat three cans of beans about four hours before getting on next time.

These school administrators need to lighten up and deal with the real probelms...expulsion for fart spray...give me a break!
