The KaBOOM!
National Campaign for Play is a strategy to raise the issue of play to one of National importance. On Sept. 22, the City of Salisbury will host the second annual KaBOOM! Playday 2010 on the grounds of the Mid-Shore Family YMCA (715 South Schumaker Drive.) The Day will start from 11-1:30 with a walk at the Riverwalk near Baptist St. Pavilion Downtown Salisbury sponsored by Wellness Information Nutrition and Physical Activity Coalition (WINPAC). Additional events, including games, face painting by members from Neighborhood Services & Code Compliance (NSCC) and a moon bounce will begin at Mid-Shore Family YMCA from 4-6 p.m. PlayDay 2010 will be recognized at sites from Wicomico Parks and Recreation after school programs, in addition to programs at RSVP & MAC Inc. Area on Aging.
