Wargotz: Latest Economic Forecast Show Mikulski's Failures

Annapolis - Today, Commissioner Eric Wargotz M.D., a candidate for the United States Senate, released the following statement on the latest poor economic forecast. The Federal Open Market Committee anticipates economic growth to be weaker than predicted.

"Mikulski and I have a fundamentally different approach to creating jobs. I believe we can't spend our way to economic prosperity, she believes we can. I believe we must lower taxes to stimulate growth, she believes in raising taxes. I believe the private sector is the economic engine driving our economy, she believes it is the government. The high unemployment rate and lack of economic growth shows that Mikulski's philosophy fails. The so-called "Stimulus Bill" has done nothing to stimulate the economy and has only made the economic outlook of future generations worse because of the massive increase in federal debt. I am ready to provide new leadership in Washington that will create jobs and get our economy moving forward."
