I came across some interesting stuff at work I wanted to make you aware of, since your site usually gets the word out when the government tries keeping things quiet. The Wicomico County Corrections Department runs the former work release annex, which has been abandoned for over a year now. They are still pending $7,000 PER MONTH on electricity and utilities out there. The place is empty, and our tax dollars are being wasted keeping this place air conditioned during the summer. I find it outrageous that people get laid off, jobs are cut, furloughs are given, and the our government throws away $84,000 A YEAR keeping an abandoned complex cold in the summer and hot in the winter. I can understand if there was stuff being stored there, but there isn't. It is a huge waste.

Didn't I read somehwere that the armory is going to rent this place while their renovation is completed? But, still don't know why it is being heated and air conditioned if it's empty.
If true----this is rediculous & insane!!!

Maybe they dont know what to do with it, like they dont know what to do with the homeless at times.
