Hmmmm, Shanie wants someone who is community active. Sharon Lloyd is community active. Louise wants to squash free speech. the truth hurts, doesn't it, Louise? You have behaved very badly while in office. Does speaking the truth make Mrs. Lloyd unfit to serve? No. Louise Smith, do us all a favor and go back to Florida. And, one more thing, you didn't oppose any appointments until SAPOA got riled up about this one. What do you want to bet they are busy with Louise and Shanie right now trying to get someone to apply who will be a SAPOA loyalist?

Louise Smith can lie through her teeth all she wants to make it sound like she is being fair, but she and Shanie Shields are SAPOA's puppets. Smith lied to those Camden people most of all, used them to get volunteers and donations.
She's the worst of the worst and no one should ever forget it!
Good for Mayor Ireton for pointing out the facts about Mrs. Smith and her reasonings for not choosing a qualified canidate. Truth hurts Smith, dont want it to hurt then fix the way you act to someway that isnt corrupt.
Smith is starting to act out in crazy ways. Is this due to her age? Can't handle the truth when it's in her face? This is a woman who is very bitter towards everyone minus a very few. I think Mrs. Lloyd's letter spoke of the way many of us feel, something that Ms. Smith doesn't want to be in the public eye.
According to the rules, Mrs. Lloyd is qualified for the appointment. The arguments presented by Smith and Shields were foolish politicking.
Smith's and Shields' responses were tissue thin and again pointed out their alliances with the landlords. If this isn't corruption, what is?

Well Louise Smith you are holding up progress again. What was your excuse for not supporting the local candidate for fire chief? You know the one that lives in the city. The one you told numerous people that you supported for fire chief and then voted against him. Louise Smith you should just resign and leave us all alone. SHAME ON YOU AND SHANIE SHIELDS!!!!
This kind of dialog in meetings is why they still have not picked a fire chief. They cant agree on anything and they're all in somebody's back pocket. The firefighters picked a candidate twice and their votes were written on ballots. There was a clear winner picked twice. The Mayor keeps saying the firefighters cant agree on a candidate. Well I think your the boobs that cant agree to anything and this proves it.
Mrs. Lloyd does have a history of community involvement. She coached both girls' softball and lacrosse for many years. She's active in her neighborhood association. She's an outspoken advocate for neighborhoods, safety, traffic concerns (invited by Salisbury Public Works directror to give advice and feedback on revamping traffic patterns in the Camden area), and others she might be able to tell you about, if only you'd asked, Louise.
Smith is full of it, connected at the hip to the very organization that puts itself ahead of neighborhoods and the people of Salisbury.
