Have A Ball This Fall: Men And Coed Softball Leagues To Begin In August

Registration is Now Open for the Fall Men’s Slow Pitch and Coed Softball Programs

Fall is just around the corner, which means Wicomico County’s fall slow pitch softball programs at the Henry S. Parker Athletic Complex will soon begin.

The Men’s Slow Pitch Fall Softball league will begin play on August 16 and continue into the cool months of September and October. The registration process has begun and the deadline for team registration is Friday, August 6th. Registrations and player contracts must be dropped off at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center Box Office by 5:00pm on August 6th. Games will be played on weeknights, and the season will conclude by the end of October. The men’s league will likely consist of three divisions based on level of play. The season includes 16 regular season games and double elimination playoffs.

The fall coed softball program will also be back this year, with competitive and non-competitive divisions. The coed league will take place primarily on Friday evenings with alternate weeknight dates possible based on the number of teams. The fall coed league includes 10 regular season games and league playoffs. The deadline for team registration is Friday, August 6th at 5:00pm. Games are scheduled to begin on Friday, August 20th and the season will conclude in October.

What is the cost to sponsor a team.

$325 for coed and $395 for men's

Plus an eye opening $61 player fee for men's.

mens league costs over a 1000 a team min. not many teams are going to play . most are going out of county

It will be more than $1000 dollars a team for mens league. There putting a strain on people who really wanna play. Its hard enough now to find a sponsor. Now they wanna ask for more money. What does all the money go for?
