Parents In Montana Battle Over Sex-Ed

Should kindergarten students learn the proper terms for male and female private parts?

For many outraged parents in Helena, Montana, the answer is absolutely not. Approximately 300 people packed a Helena Public Schools board of trustees meeting Tuesday night to voice their opinions on the district's proposed changes to it's health curriculum. Specifically, the "Human Sexuality" portion of the draft that calls for children as young as five-years-old to begin sex-ed.

You should teach young children the proper names of their body parts. This could be embarrassing to them should they have been touched in any kind of way. The person that they report it to doesn't know the nick name that you might as an adult taught this child then they will have to go in more detail which may cause them to not say something. Why as adults are we afraid of the proper names of our body parts. This is something they are going to learn anyway if you don't treat it as a bad word they wont have a problem. So give our children a chance to help themselves.
