Yesterday, when asked about the congress using the Slaughter Rule, also known as deem and pass the healthcare legislation without congress actually voting on it, President Obama said:"What I can tell you is that the vote that's taken in the House will be a vote for health care reform. And if people vote yes, whatever form that takes, that is going to be a vote for health care reform. And I don't think we should pretend otherwise."
Today I received phone calls from people in touch with Maryland's first district congressman Frank Kratovil's office in DC. It seems that although Frank has stated that he would not be voting to pass the Senate version of the healthcare legislation currently before congress. All of his offices confirm this as well. However there seems to be a tiny little wrinkle. When pressed about how Kratovil feels about the use of the deem and pass slaughter rule, his aids start arguing the merits of using that parliamentary procedure. Another words it seems Frank doesn't have a problem with deeming the bill passed without voting on it. Make no mistake Frank, we know if you vote to use the slaughter bill we KNOW you are voting to pass this health care legislation. Really how stupid do these people think we are?

Salisbury office just told me they have no idea how he is going to vote yet. They also have no idea what his position on the deem and pass slaughter rule is. They said they would put a message on his desk with my concerns. As if he will get that message.
I guess they have figured out they don,t have the votes because because Obama has postponed his trip to Indonesia until June.

This mornings interview with the comptroller for Mass. spilled the beans of their Health Care program. It's bankrupting the state if not for the "secret" federal funding to keep them afloat. He says it's not come close to what it proposed to fix and was the basis for the national health care reform proposal that they are trying to ram down our throats. It's all smoke and mirrors and will not work.

The dems came out this morning praising the CBO report. The only problem is that later, when the report actually was released by the CBO it had a statement by the director of CBO stating that it was only preliminary because it did not contain the reconciliation bill. The bill that as of yet is non existent.

They sound really frustrated at the DC office. They told me he is voting no on the bill but that they don't know how he feels about deem and pass it hasn't been brought to him yet. I asked if they thought he would vote for the deem and pass. She said he would only vote for it if it was transparent and fair. I am a little skeptical about all this because you don't get the same answer from the salisbury office. Not sure the salisbury office even knows who Frank Kratovil is. They said they don't know how he is going to vote on the bill or the deem and pass. They have no information on any of this.

Fire her and install a competant caller taker that is at least aware of issues.
If she watches CNN that may be one of the problems.

i have a problem with a no vote pass because its against the constitution at the very least...even if u want free health care arn't you concerned that they are doing what ever they want to regardless of the constitution and what the people want? if they do this who is to say that they wont do other things that you may not like...stand up now for your rights because they are under attack all in the name of promising you something for free when actually you will pay dearly for it. the only persons will get anything free are the thousands of illegals in this country that have never paid a dime out of their pockets for anything....the working class i.e me and you will be footing the bill for those that don't want to work and the illegals....arn't you doing without enough because of high taxes. If you had more of your money left in your pocket then just maybe you would be able to afford that new car that you've been longing for or that steak for dinner that you haven't had because you don't have the money. think about it. When is enough? the more money they have the more they will spend needlessly. Its all a money and power grab and we and future generations will be paying out the wazoo for it.
Of course the Socialist party is going to have a rally as well. The difference is that it will be held in the chambers of Congress.
They keep telling us not to get violent but I not sure how much more we have to take !
