The State of Emergency in Salisbury has NOT been lifted. I'm hearing something like 3:00 PM today. More to come.

From the Worcester County Web site at 8:46 this morning: Worcester County urges residents to remain indoors and not drive on County roads.

Worcester County residents are being urged to remain indoors and not travel on County roads. The wind conditions have made it impossible for road crews to keep the roads passable. These severe conditions are also limiting the emergency responders and tow company’s ability to rescue the public should they become stranded on the roads. Worcester County Commissioners urge the residents to avoid travel until such time the roads can be cleared. Law enforcement agencies will tow any abandoned vehicle so the roads crew can start clearing roads as weather conditions improve.

nice....... declare a state of emergency and do every absolutely nothing about it. EVERY member of this city government needs to resign immediately

They made the people in the post office go in to deliver the freaking mail. When they get stuck, I hope they will tow the mail trucks to the police impound lot. Then maybe it will send a clear message to the bunch of morons who make decisions to put these people lives at risk. Not like we got any mail from out of the area today anyway.

Then maybe I should contact the County Sheriff about Daily Times delivering???

Did the DT deliver? I really do not expect these people to try and dig out in these conditions. I am sure they do not paid enough to
risk themselves. Just my thought. Same for the mail carriers. We can go without for a day or so.

Fruitland's message posted on here about following Salisbury's restrictive driving policy has not been announced o WBOC (at least I have not heard it) and people are driving up and down my street like crazy. Mr. Albero, can you contact our town manager and verify that it is still in effect as we are to follow Salibury? City Hall is closed maybe you have an alternate number for him. Thanks for the help with your snow blower Monday night. I saw you in Fruitland.

What kills me is when the local watering holes open up so that people can DRIVE to them, DRINK, then DRIVE home!! Really intelligent, and really greedy.

9:18 - Do it yourself. Pick up the phone and call the Fruitland Police Department. Don't be so lazy.
