On February 17, 2010 at approximately 12:59 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the JC Penney store at the Centre at Salisbury for the report of an internal theft. Upon arrival the officers met with store security who advised that the below listed employee had been observed taking currency from her cash register.
The employee was also observed by store personnel giving store property to other subjects without payment.
ARRESTED: Megan Nicole Crockett, 21 years of age

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking

The investigation of the incident revealed that while performing work on a vehicle, the suspect took a debit card from the vehicle and used the card at a location in Baltimore.

sorry to say, but JC Penney pretty much got what they deserved. one of their cashiers stole my credit card number while I was making a purchase there. she then used my account to make several fraudulent purchases. when I reported it, the store said since she it wasn't a JC Penney store card and she hadn't purchased anything from their store with my account, it was pretty much my problem. apparently, they don't screen employees.
