.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR THE TIDAL POTOMAC RIVER BELOW COBB ISLAND AND FOR THE MARYLAND PORTION OF THE CHESAPEAKE BAY BELOW DRUM POINT...INCLUDING THE TANGIER SOUND.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY
THE SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR THE TIDAL POTOMAC RIVER BELOW COBB ISLAND AND FOR THE MARYLAND PORTION OF THE CHESAPEAKE BAY BELOW DRUM POINT...INCLUDING THE TANGIER SOUND CONTINUES UNTIL 10 AM THURSDAY.
FRIDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...A STORM SYSTEM HAS TO POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE HEAVY SNOWFALL ACROSS THE MID ATLANTIC REGION. THERE IS UNCERTAINTY REGARDING THE EXACT TRACK AND EVOLUTION OF THIS STORM...SO PLEASE MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS.

any idea how much snow the salisbury area is supposed to get? My friend in Baltimore said they are being told 24" to 50" are possible. They are calling it the perfect storm.

They are exaggerating a little there. Baltimore is suppose to see around 18-24 and we will probably see 4-8. At least that is what the storm is saying right now, could always change.
Mother Nature's a fickle woman. We'll have to see what happens. A slight change in the track could make a big difference one way or the other.
We'll know more Thurs night or Fri. Do your stocking up now folks. And other prep. Don't forget the animals and old people near you.

When real snow comes, I wonder if the Wic BOE will regret closing school for those two days before the Christmas break for a "dusting" and again today. Today merited a two-hour delay, at best. Ridiculous! The only thing left to work with are two professional days in March and May before the kids celebrate the last day of school close to the July 4th holiday. Start hacking away at the Easter break.
Unless we're down in the low to mid 20's when the storm starts, the ocean and bay air will combine to warm us up to a slush storm, if not all rain. Gotta live north of Salisbury to get the big one this time.
Mother Nature is laying it on this year.....no worry for drought this summer that is for sure!
Everytime they predict a big storm all we get on the eastern shore is rain and i bet that is all we get this weekend too!

Boonies wont be the same Friday night if we get snowed in and cant go { well have to make it a spend the nite club} wanta come?

latest news from an inside source at NOAA: 35-45mph sustained winds, gusts to 65mph, uncertain if snow or rain, expect 48" to 84" if snow, 16" to 20" if rain. Storm is expected to stall over portions of Salisbury, Maryland where it will draw moisture from the WWTP and continue as one major s--t storm for the residents of this city. Why not skip the Presidents Day holiday and have school. Presidents Day is just a retailers scam anyway.
Keep an eye out for heavy spraying in the atmosphere attempting to ward off the system.
They sprayed very heavily prior to the last snow.
