In Memory Of Some Dear & Respected Friends

Joe,

Less than a week ago we lost a good friend and fellow Paramedic Davy Davis. He will be memorialized tomorrow in Sharptown. He was a laugh that everyone needed, the friend anyone would have wanted to have, not to mention a great musician.

Tonight I heard that we lost a good friend, mentor and fellow Paramedic Steve Calloway today. I wanted to ask you to post this. Many Ems and Fire personnel read your website. Steve was a paramedic instructor for many years, a lot of us myself included, got our start as a paramedic with him. We celebrated his retirement from teaching several years ago, but he never quit practicing. This was the only way I could think of to reach out to many to let them know we've lost two of our own.

Thank you for your Time,
Betty Darby-Glime NREMT-P

Steve Calloway a member and employee of our department lost his battle with a brain tumor earlier today. Steve mentored many young firemen and Emergency Medical Technicians throughout his 38 years of service. Steve taught EMT, CRT, and Paramedic courses and helped lay the foundation for many of Maryland's caregivers. Steve was my supervisor many years ago when I first chose the Emergency Services as my career and I am honored to have had Steve working for me during his last years. Steve was a friend and Brother to many people. A memorial service is planned for March 6, 2010 at the Ocean Pines Vol. Fire Department South Station at 2:00pm. The service will be a Fireman's Memorial Service.

Thank You,

Steve Calloway was my CRT instructor quite a few years ago. He was one of the best teachers I've ever had - including secondary school, college -and a very nice man.
RIP.

Working for you?? Mr. Bounds are you serious? Steve Calloway worked for the citizens of Ocean Pines and Worcester County. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Too many emotions to even try to express in words. Without Steve and JoAnne, the Eastern Shore would have been a much poorer place to live. I loved them both. They gave their all and gave their best to the Eastern Shore and to Fire and EMS. Rest in Peace, the pain is gone.

please remember all of those who have passed in the fire and EMS services and these two most recent losses. Mr. Bounds should pay respects to those lost not try to post his own resume. Mr Calloway was a caring paramedic and don't think he supervised anything other than being caring to those he served. I would think Ocean Pines fire company would have someone more respectful as their captain.
Again, those who have lost someone is the families of those involved as well as the families of those who can no longer be cared for by these fine paramedics who give so much for their communities.

I agree with this poster. Bill Bounds is a self promoting egotistical turd and always has been. I am sure he stabbed someone in the back to get the peon position he has now. I think he has had 5 different jobs around here locally and they all were glad to get rid of him. Thank God Ocean City is smart enough not to hire Belly Bounds.
