This Just In

"Here is a picture of the paper that we are putting out with the ribbons!! We have come out of our own pockets for these ribbons and ALL the proceeds are going to Missing and Exploited Children Association!! I hope this clears it up for you!!"

Kristine Kardiasmenos

Thank You Kristine and ALL of the individuals involved. Please understand there have been several people out there wishing to raise money that would not be monitored. In the interest of Sarah Foxwell and her siblings we're simply doing our best to confirm anyone selling merchandise is doing so with the right intent. There were no names, contact information and no mention of "ALL" funds going to this organization on the Face Book message. Thanks for clearing that up. You'll have my business tomorrow night.

UPDATE:

I am happy Kristine has cleared up any misconceptions you might have had about the ribbon magnets. Just a few concerned citizens trying to raise money for Missing and Exploited Children of Maryland. Hoping maybe next time the Amber Alert or whatever they see fit to use the funds for may save another child's life. None of us personally knew Sarah but this tragedy should affect the entire community. As I was one of the first to contact Jim Mathias it is time to take a stand to help our community be a safer place. The ribbons are not just a fundraiser but a tribute that Sarah Haley Foxwell will never be forgotten. Such a senseless and tragic loss our community should never forget. Thank you for your concern. I am a small business owner and was named 2009 Ocean Pines Chamber Business of the Year. We are very dedicated to the community fundraisers we do regularly along with the work we do with DHS and Worcester County GOLD. I assure you we have nothing but honorable intentions as the money has come out of my pocket so far. We appreciate your endorsement.

Joe, Thank you for posting this. I am one of several people involved in this fund raiser. We are just a group of people that want to protect our and everyones children through out the state against these criminals. We want to honor Sarah by donating to MECA because they are one of the only groups that fight for changes in our states laws towards children. People have already donated to help the family with funeral costs, and if people wish they can donate money to the memorial fund at the bank of willards. We are very sorry for the families loss, but we feel that instead of helping one family, why not help all of our families in fighting to keep these type of criminals locked up. I look foward to meeting with you tomorrow and discussing further if you so please.

If there are any left after the vigil tomorrow I will post some contact information for people to get one. The ribbons are 5$. Please read Lisa's update. We are not scammers or trying to make any money off of this. No this money is not going to the siblings, but if you would like your money to go to them please donate to the memorial fund at the farmers bank of willards. We are not trying to take anything away from them.

If any ribbons are available after tonight I will be happy to meet people to get them delivered. If there is still an interest and we sell out, we can order more. A company out of Minnesota was kind enough to rush the production and shipping for the vigil tonight. My email address and contact information is available on my business website. We would be happy to help get more if we need to. www.GitRDoneCleaningServices.com

what a beautiful community that came together tonight at the park. It's amazing how one little girl touched so many hearts. She will never be forgotten that's for sure.
