TONYTANK POND DRAIN-DOWN SET FOR JANUARY 4TH

At the request of the Tonytank Homeowner’s Association, the Wicomico County Roads Division will conduct a partial drain-drown of Tonytank Pond starting on January 4th. According to a Roads official, the residents requested the drain-down so they could perform shoreline maintenance. There will be “No Fishing” signs posted during the drain-down which will conclude on February 12th.

In the Wicomico River

It goes there anyway, it will just go there faster for a little while. Don't worry, no conspiracy here.

Please ask the county to draw down the water slowly and only low enough to expose the docks. This is not a good thing as it only has a negative effect on the fish. I bet hardly anyone will actually do any maintence work to their shore line. Just another example of folks not properly educated on fisheries and how draw downs of any kind impact them.
