Isn't this the free market that you guys always espouse? Remember that Pres. Obama sits in an ivory tower and presses buttons that control the entire economy and your life only within your own anti-Obama hysterical dreams.

I find it funny that you liberal jerks were blaming Bush but now defending the Anti-Christ.

8:54, only the far left blamed bush for high gas prices. Most people realize that the president doesn't control prices. But now the far right will use prices as a political weapon. The lesson? Don't listen to the idealogues on the far left or right.

the president does have power to step in when there is proof of 'price gouging'.

It's not price gouging, the price is still way too low. Check out the price in other countries, we keep it artificially low to keep the masses happy.

Pres bush had gas well over 4 dollars and over 5 in the bigger cities. Im not complaining over 2.60. He laced his pockes for 7 and a half years and then it dropped right before he left office. Thats what happens when your president owns oil fields. You would think he would cut us a break since he was stealing oil from iraq. hopefully obama can lower medicine prices once he robs afgavistan of there natural crop and we all know what that is.

1:10pm thanks for visiting the planet earth...it's been nice having you for the Bush years, please keep drinking the KoolAid and take some photos, Obama is here now and you can go back to your happy place. But seriously, how old are you? The gas prices started going up in 2006, then the Democrats took over Congress in 2007 and the gas prices never went below $2 again. During most of Bush's presidency, gas was under $2-that is between 2001-Jun 2006, that's not a bad run but the problems are not with the President, thwy're with Congress. They have screwed up since Pelosi took charge and are now ramming this healthcare down our throats without any regard to what we want. Be Angry, that's good, but make sure you've got the right people to blame and be ready to fix this is 2010. Oh, also, we don't get our oil from Iraq...just FYI.
