Halloween In Camden Was A Blast Once Again

Cars were coming into the Camden Neighborhood loaded with kids as this was clearly the place to be once again this year. Unfortunately, only about 1 out of every 4th home had their lights on and were giving out Candy but for those who were giving out treats no child walked away disappointed.

Councilwoman Debbie Campbell out did herself once again by offering a fantastic display of Halloween images and music. Next door at the Goetz Home, Witches entertained the kids while the Grim Reaper stood very still, (many thinking it was a statue) and once they'd come by his path he'd come to live and scare the crap out of everyone, including adults.

It was a good time had by all and we look forward to next year.

The Campbell's, as always, were gracious hosts. They're decorations are realy great especially since so many of them are homemade. Kids came away beaming, as everyone was complimented on their costumes and the Trick or Treaters were thanked for having great menners.
The witch costume at the Geotz house was the best I've ever seen. I would love to know how to do that. There were other really great houses too. One was on the corner of South and Camden and one on Virginia and Camden. There were also some great decorations on Middle Blvd.
This is one great neighborhood with lots of character and committment to family fun. It was nice to see parents, most in costumes, out with nearly every group of children.
Best carved pumpkins goes to the family at the yellow and white house across from St. Francis.

Sharptown also gave a nice display as always. There even was a man dressed up in a coffin to delight the children.

I live in this area and was yelled at by parents for driving too fast. Now I love Halloween and want all the kids to have a great and safe time. I was going less than 5 mph and their kids ran into the street. My parents would have stuck a foot up my a$$ for doing something like that not yelled at the driver. That being said the kids costumes were all great this year and almost all of them were very polite and used excellent manners and other than some of the parents bad behavior I would say that Halloween still remains one of my favorite holiday!!

There were also a few houses on West College that did a great job decorating.

This area is amazing on Halloween. It brings back memories of my childhood with lots of kids and a festive atmosphere. Heck, Lady Campbell looks gorgeous even in costume. At least there are some things about Salisbury that are good.

I live in the Morris Mill Developement and I was very disappointed in how many houses were not handing out candy. What did these people do when their kids were young. How sad that my children can not have the same childhood experience as I did.
Where is the HOA in encouraging this?

It's difficult to take your child trick or treating AND hand out candy. Think of that?
