FOUND DOG

Jack Russel Tarrier. About four years old. Seems trained but not great on leash.

Found with no collar just north of Deers Head.

Cool pup. Hope his owners find him. I have a Jack, not many are good off of a lease. They are bread to hunt. Great dogs though.

That's not a JRT, might be a JRT mix though. He's a cute thing.

This looks like the dog that my neighbors were looking for just the other night. The dog's name is Beatrice (I think) and I believe lives on Whitman Ave just off of Emerson. If the owner sees the lady that walks all of the time they can let her know, she was walking with the owner right before it got loose. Should the poster want to, please feel free to contact me and I will try to locate the owner, I think that they are new to the neighborhood to but I could be mistaken. I live on Kipling Dr right around the corner; 2 story yellow house.

He is well behaved. Just not used to being walked on a leash. Some one must be missing him.

Not surprised to hear he is a mix.

This blog is good at connecting lost dogs to owners.

I believe it belongs to a family that lives off of Whitman. This dog gets away from them and runs free quite often.

It is not the house at Whitman and Emerson. Although they have a dog that is similar looking. But is was found very near there.

I will keep an eye out for the other woman that walks around a lot.

It's really nice of people to go to great lengths to help dogs find their homes and not just turn a cheek or call the Humane Society. I hope you are able to get this dog back to his family. I know if he/she were mine, I would be very thankful to you for your efforts, Mr. Angell (and Joe for posting missing pet reports).

LOL, No Jack Russell's are good on a leash, but I love them anyway.

I once saw a bumper stick on an old couples car that read "I am owned by a Jack Russell Terrier" and there is a lot to say about that statement.

I've got the same mix. Its a JRT and Chihuahua mix, body of Chi and face/ears of the JRT... Man that's a cute dog. I hope he finds his family soon.

Jack is home and does live on Whitman although seldom gets out of his home.

He was very happy to see his owner.

Thanks for all the help.

Joe,
We just heard on the scanner salisbury fire department is having a mandatory meeting tonight for all members at the fire palace. Any idea what its about? Gordys up to something Im sure. Might be worthy of a post

6:22 PM I think it is going to be a pitch by the Gordo/Hoppes team so they can get the memberships support for the Fire Chief appointment. Hoppes just started showing up to the volunteers meetings for the first time in his career. He hates the volunteers and Gordo hates the paid men.

Back to the dog, sort of. This is a nice success story and illustrates why SbyNes is so popular. I have talked to many people this week who I wouldn't have suspected would read blogs. They all mentioned SbyNews in the course of a non-blog related conversation.
Joe, please remember that with power comes responsibility and in the best of circumstances humility. Many are counting on you to stay the course with an honest exchange of information without the name calling and attacks that some can't resist. Just as a suggestion, bragging can also be tiring. You've earned the right to brag, but if you can just keep doing your good work without it, you will earn even more respeect and readership.

6:59-- Well said! This blog does a lot of good for the community & I think it will continue to do so. Humbleness & kindness are signs of virtue and one does themselves justice to present that to the public.

Arrogance & harsh words draw the same venom from its peers! Venom we all can live without.
