Doris Update

Doris has had a setback on her progress. She fell last week and fractured her hip. We elected to take her back to University of Maryland Shock Trauma to the same group of doctors she has had since the beginning of this whole ordeal. They performed surgery on Thursday. They put three screws and a metal plate in to repair the fracture. She spent the weekend in Baltimore and transferred to Wicomico Nursing Home on Monday to recoup. Hopefully this will be a much shorter stay.

I sure hope she recovers too. But can you please tell us who she is? I am guessing she is someone local.

Doris is from Fruitland. She was struck by a pickup truck at the Post Office as she was heading into the building. The truck failed to stop and crushed her between the bumper and the building.

This woman is amazing! She's been through hell and still keeps fighting. Remember that next time you think you've got problems.

Keep fighting Ms. Doris!
