They are searching the school with K-9 right now. Not sure what they are looking for. It sounded like it was not drug related. It might be someone with a weapon.
Just got a text from my daughter who attends parkside and she said the same. She said police nd dogs all around inside school and students have to stay in classrooms
Its a drill... this was a code orange drill, the next one will be a code red drill where no one will be allowed in or out. This is required by MD state law If this was an emergency, the office said information would have been released to the media as to why.
My child is there. He says its a drug sweep/bust. Dogs are searching for drugs. They do it this way so ones who have drugs can't get out of class to hide drugs or leave school. Will be doing all schools probably.
Meanwhile there are two banks being robbed. When I first saw this I was hoping the lockdown was precautionary from the bank robberies in the area. Kids who might have drugs is more important I guess...
Teaching our kids to be good little slaves / prisoners.
Salute Stand Sit It's not time for you to go to the bathroom yet Where's your hall pass Roll up your sleeve Eat the blue pill Raise your hand if your dad owns a gun
Official word from Delmar's principal was that the school was 100% drug-free. Parents received a phone message Tuesday evening informing of the code yellow lock down and results of the search.

I heard it is a routine drug sweep
Joe, yes they are but don't know why. I'm trying to find out why. My wife is calling the BOE now.

I just got a text message from a kid I know who attends Parkside. They are looking for drugs. They had a tip today and decided to act on it.
They had one in Delmar the other day too.
Do private schools get swept?
I was told they arrested over 20 in Delmar the other day during the sweep including one teacher.
according to a teacher--it's all done--don't know if they found any or not
I was dropping my daughter off while all this was going on and asked a P.O what was going on, he told us it was a routine drill
P.O.? Probation Officer? Wouldn't surprise me. I know you meant police.
I am SO glad my wife and I homeschooled our children.

Was nothing but a pre-scheduled drill. Was not in response to any issues, just a practice session for the police.
