Hey Joe,
Was just out at MVA in Salisbury and there are 2 guys out there doing a petition to stop the Obama Health Care stuff.
Personally, I won't say whether I agree or disagree with their point but I do feel they should not be doing it on government property.
The head guy at MVA went out there with the State Trooper working out there to shut him down but apparently the guys have a letter from some head honcho in the state permitting them to do this on government property.

Excuse me? Government property? Doesn't this mean PUBLIC property? No place better to exercise ones 1st Amendment rights.
SO? what is Your problem?
Government property is exactly where you want to demonstrate. Where do you think people demonstrate in Washington, DC. What't your option, protesting on private citizens lawns? The ignorance of some people is just unbelievable.
I hope that they've both READ the bill before they decide to protest it. I have no opinion because I haven't.
Govt. property does not require permission unless there is a security issue (guess they'll say that about everything now, especially the way these crowds are behaving).
I don't think they should be allowed to be right up to the building. When you protest or support a candidate or cause at election polls, you are required to be a certain distance from the poll entrance, so I don't understand why this is any different.
Protest if you want, but the people should have to come to YOU if they are interested in what you are doing.
Just knowing that Congress is specifically exempting themselves from any of the bills being pushed is enough for me not to want any parts of any of them.
Follow the money if you want to see exactly who is pushing healthcare reform:
"Since 2006, the health sector has spent more money on lobbying than any other sector of the economy (see Figure 2). Updated statistics for 2006 show that the health sector spent $379.8 million to lobby the federal government, about $5 million more than the finance, insurance, and real estate sector and about $28 million more than was previously reported.1 In 2007, the health sector spent $450.7 million, nearly a 20% increase from the amount in 2006 and about $35 million more than was spent by the financial sector. Within the health sector, manufacturers of drugs, medical devices, and other health care products spend the most and have increased their spending more rapidly than other health care industries. In 2007, PhRMA spent $22.7 million, the American Medical Association $22.1 million, the American Hospital Association $19.7 million, Amgen $16.3 million, and Pfizer $13.8 million, ranking 3rd, 4th, 5th, 9th, and 15th, respectively, among the top spenders on lobbying."
1:10 if you have no opinion , then
why even comment dummy.Read the bill!
Obviously the honcho they got permission from is not Democrat.I wonder who it was?
Don't worry, I'm sure they were just a bunch of fake un-American, angry Nazis paid for by Acorn.
Yea, let's just shut down free speech in public places, that seems like a real good idea.
Wow!
When the left loons protest anything in Washington should they be allowed to. I mean it is government property.
Don't worry according to Steny and plastic face Nancy they are un american and should be sent to the Obama health care death chamber all will end well
Considering the cost of Insurance...You know (We the Working American citizens) are forking out for the Driving and CAN'T afford to BUY Car insurance! The demonstrators should be there TOO!
I just got back from there. THANKS, GUYS, for doing this in some of the nastiest heat we've had all summer! Government property was paid for by you and me, and I don't remember there being a distance I had to stand from it on the bill I paid!!!! Give money to these guys to fight takeover, because if it's not done now, we'll have HELL to pay.
My personal opinnion, is that why they are at that, start getting Obama impeached. I mean, seriously, what is he doing that makes him any better than anyone else that has been in office. Lets just screw everyone up. Great, he made it so you can get help from social services, fantastic. What about everything else going on in the office? Honestly, is he following through with any of those so called promises he made when he was trying to get elected? He is just making it harder for people. The economy is doing no better since he went into office. WAY TO GO PETITIONERS!! Next one needs to be getting rid of Obama, and putting someone else in!! This country will not make it through what is left of his term!!
Tanks. Good to know. I think I'll drive down the today to sign that bad boy.
