Would place president's birth during time Hawaii was a territory
If President Obama were indeed born in Hawaii, was it while the islands were a territory of the United States?
A new wrinkle in the dispute over his birth – and whether he is eligible to be president under the U.S. Constitution's requirement that the president be a "natural born" citizen – appeared today when Obama's official MySpace page declared his age is 52, thus placing his birth year at 1957 instead of 1961 as has been claimed.
That would mean he would have been born during the archipelago's time as a territory of the U.S., the islands' status from about 1900 until statehood in 1959.
The birth year also conflicts with campaign and other White House information that have discussed his 48th birthday this month.

Great post Joe. Way to add to an intellectual discussion regarding health care, foreign policy, tax policy, economics, etc. Do us a favor and continue to makes this the centerpiece of the opposition so us rational thinking citizens can tackle the problems at hand.
The continuation of this saga says volumes about Pres. Obama's character, or lack thereof. He indicated many, many, times during the campaign that he and his administration was going to be very different. A greater degree of transparency, honesty and ingtegrity would be demonstrated.
Either his memory is deficient or he said these things to fool enough people into to voting for him to win the election.
His failure to give specifics about the ongoing war in Afghanistan, misrepresenting HR3200
contents and still cannot produce a birth certificate is simply indicative of a man with major character flaws, and should have never been elected President of the U. S. A.

Hey 8:08....We have not seent he official Hawaiian document yet. Obama is not my President, nor is he the legal President of the United States. He is, by law, supposed to prove his birth. He has not. He cannot. He is not a natural born US citizen. Since he has also not been naturalized...is he even a US citizen?? Wow...your "President" is not even an American citizen. Wake up sheeple, your messiah is nothing but an illegal piece of trash. Someone in teh White House needs to take the trash out to the curb.

I doubt Myspace, even if its the "official one" should be trusted. I see profiles on there for my friends and the age is inaccurate due to a glitch, or human error. For weeks mine said I was 100 years old, when I am only 21, all because of a computer glitch with the Myspace servers.

Citizen or not, it makes no difference. Benedict Arnold was a citizen. Obama swore to uphold the Constitution, not to shred it.
