Cook For A Cure

To Whom this may concern:

On Sunday, August 30, 2009 Riverside/Milford Street Pharmacies Relay for life team will be hosting a Chicken BBQ at Jacks Market off Route 50 in Hebron Maryland that will benefit 15 year-old Jesi Simpson and his family. We are kindly asking for any donations that your business may be able to offer. Items that are needed are dinner rolls, drinks, large cans of bake beans, chips and platters to hold dinners. All monies raised from the Chicken BBQ will be given to Jesi and his family to assist with medical expenses and other expenses that may occur while at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Jesi and his family currently have to go to John’s Hopkins three times per week for chemotherapy.

Jesi Simpson is a 15 year old high school student at Parkside High School here is Salisbury, Maryland. He is very active in Basketball and Football. Jesi had very few signs and symptoms, but after having blood work done on a Friday afternoon, his mom received a call stating that she needed to get him to PRMC; later that night he was transferred to Johns Hopkins Hospital. That Sunday he was diagnosed with Pre-cell B leukemia. His first round of Chemo was March 24, 2009. Since that time Jesi and his family were able to come home for about 24 hours then returned to Johns Hopkins for complications. Jesi and his family remain there and will be there for some time. As a community, I feel that is very important to reach out to this wonderful family in a time of need. Dinners will come with ½ chicken, roll, chips, beans and drink for $8.00.

Any donation that your business can give is appreciated and will help a wonderful family with medical expenses and other expenses that may occur. I would love to know what your business can donate by August 26, 2009. Please feel free to call me at 443.880.1963 or email at ckrater@comcast.net

Thank you,
Christina Krater
