WASHINGTON D.C. - In a move certain to fuel the debate over Obamas qualifications for the presidency, the group Americans for Freedom of Information has Released copies of President Obamas college transcripts from Occidental College .Released today, the transcript indicates that Obama, under the name Barry Soetoro, received financial aid as a foreign student from Indonesia as an undergraduate at the school. The transcript was released by Occidental College in compliance with a court order in a suit brought by the group in the Superior Court of California . The transcript shows that Obama (Soetoro) applied for financial aid and was awarded a fellowship for foreign students from the Fulbright Foundation Scholarship program. To qualify, for the scholarship, a student must claim foreign citizenship. This document would seem to provide the smoking gun that many of Obamas detractors have been seeking. WASHINGTON D.C.
Along with the evidence that he was first born in Kenya and there is no record of him ever applying for US citizenship, this is looking pretty grim. The news has created a firestorm at the White House as the release casts increasing doubt about Obamas legitimacy and qualification to serve as president. When reached for comment in London , where he has been in meetings with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Obama smiled but refused comment on the issue.
Britain 's Daily Mail has also carried the story in a front-page article titled, Obama Eligibility Questioned leading some to speculate that the story may overshadow economic issues on Obamas first official visit to the U.K.
In a related matter, under growing pressure from several groups, Justice Antonin Scalia announced that the Supreme Court agreed on Tuesday to hear arguments concerning Obamas legal eligibility to serve as President in a case brought by Leo Donofrio of New Jersey .. This lawsuit claims Obama's dual citizenship disqualified him from serving as president. Donofrios case is just one of 18 suits brought by citizens demanding proof of Obamas citizenship or qualification to serve as president.
Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation has released the results of their investigation of Obamas campaign spending. This study estimates that Obama has spent upwards of $950,000 in campaign funds in the past year with eleven law firms in 12 states for legal resources to block disclosure of any of his personal records. Mr. Kreep indicated that the investigation is still ongoing but that the final report will be provided to the U.S. Attorney General, Eric Holder. Mr. Holder has refused to comment on the matter.

Nobody is claiming Obama didn't get the votes, the question is whether he can leagally serve as President, which has not been established. Get your facts straight and quit sounding like an idiot, it only makes Obama supporters look ridiculous.

The REPUBLICAN governor of Hawaii has said she is satisfied and considers the matter closed. Congress certified the results of the election. I am all for a spirited debate over the policies of this administration...there's a lot to argue about on both sides.

As I said, Florida 2000 was stolen long before election day. When you purge more than 30,000 legally registered minority voters because their names were similar to that of convicted felons, and do not inform them they have been purged until they show up to vote, well, you've gone a long way to securing the votes you need without messing with the machines.

Pres. Obama has no problem with the 3 provisions set out by Article II of the U.S. Constitution for becoming president. He WAS born in the U.S. in Hawaii in 1961, he had attained the age of 35 before taking office, and had lived in the United States for the previous 14 years.

He produced the paperwork (the Certification of Live Birth) issued by his state at the time of his birth proving he was born in Hawaii. The REPUBLICAN governor of the state said she's satisfied. I can't find a definite 'yeah or nay" on this story. If it is true Obama must work day and night to keep us from finding out. My guess is the story is not verified yet. But from the looks of posts on Snopes and Truth or Fiction there are a lot of folks digging. It will come out eventually:)
To be a teacher, most likely history, You must know that as long as the US has control of an established military base it is considered a territory of the US. McCain does have a birth certificate from a military base / hospital. A live birth certificate is not the same as a birth certificate. It just states you were a product of a live birth period. I can go to Hawaii and get one, but that does not mean I was born in Hawaii. This shows book knowledge is not what it is cracked up to be because people still cannot comprehend what they read. It should be simple enough for President Obama to produce a birth certificate, thereby putting this matter to rest. In tracing his family roots, Obama has visited Kogelo, Kenya, three times -- in 1983, 1995 and 2006. In the first two instances, he must have had a passport of some description. In 2006, as a U.S. Senator, he most likely traveled on a diplomatic passport. The issuance of a U.S. passport requires an original birth certificate, or certain other original certificates if born outside the U.S.

Pardon me, but I believe many of you are missing the point - the question is not whether he has or does not have a birth certificate, but whether or not he is a U.S. citizen.
Any U.S. citizen may voluntarily give up their citizenship by claiming / obtaining citizenship in another country (which is NOT the same thing as dual citizenship). Many former citizens HAVE done this - they still have birth certificates though.
The question is: does his legally claiming foreign citizenship in the past qualify? Did he, by claiming foreign citizenship give up his U.S. citizenship (since, in this case, dual citizenship would not have qualified him for said funds)?
As far as the passport since... well, depending on the answer to the above question it would have been obtained in error and no longer be valid.
And this will be for the court to decide - unfortunately, we can be sure that regardless of the decision there will be the zealots of both sides who will refuse to accept it.
