Anti-Tea Party Correspondent's Contract Not Renewed By CNN

By Noel Sheppard

The last time we saw CNN correspondent Susan Roesgen, she was arguing with folks at the April 15 Tea Party in Chicago claiming the event was "anti-government, anti-CNN [and] highly promoted by the right-wing conservative network Fox."

Although CNN officials won't blame the decision specifically on this event, the network has decided not to renew her contract.

All together now: Aaaaaawwww.

As reported by TVNewser Thursday:
TVNewser has learned CNN correspondent Susan Roesgen's contract will not be renewed and she will be leaving the network. [...]

Roesgen took a break for a few weeks after that reporting and returned to the air in May covering the Drew Peterson arrest. Most recently, she covered Michael Jackson's death from Los Angeles. Roesgen joined CNN in 2005.

When TVNewser asked whether Roesgen's comments at the Chicago tea party rally had anything to do with her not being renewed, a CNN spokesperson said, "I can't comment on personnel matters."

So is it actually possible that doing a poor job really can have some consequences in the news industry today?

Who'd have thought it?

Yeah, good ole' "Liberal" CNN, right? You right-wingers can't face the fact that our media is wholly owned by Corporations. Conservative Corporations who spoon feed you Conservative talking points.

I personally wrote a long letter complaining to CNN about this. They didn't reply to me, so I then wrote to the majority of CNN advertisers telling them how I was boycotting their products. We have to start holding activist media personalities accountable.

Perhaps tools like 205 and 348 should post back over at their own blog, I for one am sick of reading their crap on this one.

Their verbiage like my own is readily indentifiable.

Don't let the door hit you!
