YOU Make The Call

While Chief Webster has been away for the past couple of weeks for a Honeymoon and Vacation, one would tend to think he was gone for the past two weeks, right? WRONG! It turns out it has been reported that Chief Webster has been back from his Honeymoon for about a week now, yet he has not come into work to help with the investigation of the recent murder at the Shell Gas Station on Rt. 13 in Salisbury.

I'll simply put it to you this way Folks. IF the same situation had happened in the County, (I know Salisbury is in the County, you know what I mean) and Sheriff Lewis had been back home for a week, what do YOU think would happen.

Chief Webster has simply become far too comfortable living in Somerset County and ignoring OUR lifestyle and safe keeping. Help Is On The Way, NOT!

Just because he isn't in the office doesn't mean that he isn't talking with the office.
He has the right to his honeymoon regardless if it is in his own home.
Chief Webster is doing a great job!

So this dude can take off from his duties for 2 weeks for a honeymoon and vacation while the city goes to sh*? How about the road officers not allowed to take their earned comp time. Heck, the road officers get the eye when they submit a slip to take off just 1 day. By the end of July, you have to use your comp time or you will use it. Officers are not allowed to use it so its going to be lost. Isn't that theft. Officers worked past their end of the shift. Not getting over time but earn comp time but can't take it. Joe that has to be a law againt that. Who the heck works for free? Not chiefy. These officers need their time off and away from there. Help these guys out.

WHAT, he lives in Somerset County? I do not believe this! The City of Salisbury needs to change some of its constitution or whatever to NOT allow anything like that. Unbelievable (someone who has lived in the county their whole 70 years) and cannot believe they allow this. Sign me disgusted from the city, to the county to the nation at this point. I think I will just hibernate for the next 4 years.... Since I don't live in the city, I suppose I would NOT be allowed to start a petition to get this law changed???

To tell you the truth I've had to call SPD 4 times out of the last 7 days/night for drug activity and I think things are better off without him.

I had almost 50% of last nights police staff responding to my call and they parked in the dark and snuck up like they should and they saw what I have been calling about, people were scattering like cockroaches when they walked up.

I'd apply myself, it pays more than I make right now and I'm already taking a risk. I couldn't work for the chief though. He has to go!

Mayor Ireton:

The rest of us are still waiting for that "help is on the way" to arrive.

If you fire Chiefy that would be a great photo-op! Just do it.

The word on the street is that Webster will be running for Bobby Jones job as sheriff of Somerset County.

To 8:56 AM - what stupid rock have you been under? Doing a great job you say - what a joke. Let Somerset County have him - that's where he lives, that's where he belongs.

Well lets hope the word is right, our gain is their loss!

Something bad is going to happen today, I can feel it. I cant narrow it down just yet, but I feel it.

Joe, I am an officer for SPD and was on a traffic stop the other night sometime around midnight and observed Sheriff Lewis out patroling the city with Major Baker. Now that's a leader!!!

I hear that webster is going to run for mayor.
The mayor must not be doing his job, he could let the cheif go at anytime, but the new mayor is just another ldiot like the last one.
Of course that is if all albero says is true, which is in question it self.

Dykes would have been on the street investigating the murder, you can believe that... Where is Livingston at, he remembers the old crew. Better yet there are people in the PD that know how to get it done if they can get daycare to watch the kids... LOL!

Great work and setting the example.

Say what you want the County is starting to see the big picture. It is not going to get any better out there

Get real Joe. Webby knows the secret hand shake and everything. He is safe.

My thanks goes out to Mike Lewis and Gary Baker.

You got that right, Colbourne Dykes would be on the scene of any major crime 24/7. Wouldn't have to be a murder either.

I remember being in the basement bar of One Plaza East wayyyy back in the day and CHIEF Dykes was still doing undercover. It wasn't beneath him to take action in any capacity.

That's the kind of integrity and dedication we need now more than ever.

Coulbourne Dykes would have been out looking for sure. He also would have gone to the mayor and demanded all the resources he needed to solve not just the Shell killing, but the shooting of Ted Shea (which of course might be related) and this spate of armed robberies. He would be at the center of a task force that would solve these crimes and yes, he would roust his sources in the black community to help find these pieces of human filth. It seems the only criminals Salisbury Police catch these days are those they gun down, although, I'm not necessarily against that, mind you.

I'va said it before,I will say it again-Salisbury would not be in this shape were the late Chief Dykes still in charge.
