I received a call from J.D Lyons, (the man in the tux) telling me how much he loves Salisbury News and especially the photos we provide.
He asked if he could have a few of them for his Face Book Page and of course we provided them.
During our conversation he went on to say how he has been announcing fights and other sporting events for the past 15 years now and he has NEVER experienced a better crowd that Salisbury, Maryland.
He went on to mention to me that Brian "The Assassin" was supposed to weigh 170 pounds before the fight, (in which he was close) but he weighed 180 pounds just before he entered the ring.
He is extremely impressed with Fernando Guerrero's fighting skills and always looks forward to coming here to Salisbury to announce the fights.

The short referee cracks me up around all those big and tall dudes, but I be he seen enough that he surely knows how to pop somebody a good one! And he's damn good at what he does-I see him alot on TV
We will not publish anything that has to do with him.
Yes that little ref has been in the ring for a long time and seen some great fights.
Being short has it's advantages, if the boxer swings wildly he won't likely take one on da jaw ; )
