The Town voted on a UNBALANCED Hebron Budget which was passed last week. The Town's Charter REQUIRES a balanced budget.
For some reason, the staff and Commissioners "forgot" about their Charter requirement! Word has it they're going to possibly have a re-do on the budget to get it balanced.
Perhaps they thought Salisbury News wasn't paying any attention!

Can you believe that the grocery store in Hebron quit selling the "Wonder Roast" chickens. Best damn chicken you ever ate.
o.k. 4:01 get a grip. If you live in Hebron, go to Town Hall and get a copy of the budget that was passed last week! You won't believe it.....They had two attorneys sitting there and not one of them or one Commissioner or the "Town Manager" knew they have a Charter that requires a balanced budget.....what are they paying those attorneys for anyhow?
Hebron is one messed up town, run by know-nothings.
You have no ideal how much of a stretch that would be.
Pittsville has been violating their charter for several years. They never provide two weeks notice on their meetings. I went to the town hall for one meeting and no one was there a couple of years ago. Just quit going that Moore fellow is just going to do whatever he wants anyway.
I would expect that attorneys for Hebron would know what the Charter says -- and that they would abide by it. What a hoot they are!!!

They could have just done like princess anne and raise the tax rate till it was balanced and then try to blame it on somebody else

Hey, did you know the Hebron Lions Club is not in the town limits of Hebron, but thier building has water and sewer provided by the town. Check the town charter on this one. Again they have broken thier own charter, they do as they please. Are the Lions even billed for water and sewer. Once again, Good ole boys never meaning no harm since the day they were born.
Why do they need 2 attorneys? That is a joke and they need improvements they cann't do it with the bills they have from attorneys. Wake up Hebron get in the ball game!
