Just How Far Does Salisbury News Go?

Back in March 2009 I put up a Post about Energy Saving Windows And Tax Credits. My friend Bob Harris owns the company that provides very reasonably priced replacement windows and shared an interesting telephone call he received earlier today.

An woman called and said she had read about his windows and would like to place an order. She then asked, how far do you go to replace windows? They replied, well, we usually install them on the Eastern Shore, how far away are you. The woman replied, CALIFORNIA.

California, just how did you hear about our windows. She replied, www.sbynews.com. Unfortunately they weren't able to service her request but they sure did like the attention from one free ad on Salisbury News.

We have two nephews who live in California. One in southern and one up north. They are avid readers of the blog. They are originally from Salisbury. They get alot of enertainment from the opinions and subjects.

Thanks FriendWhoisADem. We try to make everyone happy. We have learned a lot this year about the tax credit. It's BIG. We are trying to get the powers that be to either make it a larger cap for everyone, to extend it a year, and to remove the primary residence requirement. This is one part of the "stimulus bill" that I can get behind. Not because it effects us - because many companies can take advantage of this, but because it allows more of the regular everyday people to keep more of what they earn. It has the potential to put more ppl to work in both the service industry AND the manufacturing sector, as well as reducing our independence on foriegn oil. This could be the beginning of a turn around of our economy if they pull out the stops.
