Incident: Possession of Marijuana
Date of Incident: 12 June 2009
Location: Wicomico County Detention Center, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Lebraun A. Brooks, 23, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 12 June 2009 at 6:00 PM, a deputy responded to the Wicomico County Detention Center in reference to an individual there in possession of marijuana. Lebraun Brooks had entered the Detention Center just prior to that time to serve a weekend sentence when WCDC personnel discovered marijuana hidden on Brooks’ person.
Upon the arrival of the deputy, Brooks was processed on this new charge and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, Brooks was detained in the Detention Center by the Commissioner in lieu of $10,000.00 bond.

Incident: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
Date of Incident: 13 June 2009
Location: Ocean Gateway W/B at Marsh Rd., Mardela Springs, MD
Suspect: Jennifer June Gompers, 37, Davidsonville, MD
Narrative: On 13 June 2009 at 2:27 AM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle travelling westbound on Ocean Gateway in the Mardela Springs area at 92 mph in a 55 mph zone. Upon stopping the vehicle the deputy observed that the operator, Jennifer Gompers of Davidsonville, MD, appeared visibly under the influence of alcohol. During their encounter, Gompers expressed her belief that she was in Ocean City, MD. After further investigation, the deputy arrested Gompers for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
Gompers was processed at the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office and released after signing citations.

Incident: Possession of a Handgun
Date of Incident: 13 June 2009
Location: Saratoga Street at Civic Avenue, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Kendal L. Parker, 21, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 13 June 2009 at 11:10 PM, two deputies assigned to a special patrol detail observed a subject later identified as Kendal L. Parker operating a motor scooter on Civic Avenue. The deputies observed that twice Parker failed to stop for red signals in intersections so they pulled him over on Saratoga Street just off Civic Avenue. While speaking with Parker, it was observed that he was wearing a backpack. During their encounter with Parker, the deputies noticed that he appeared visibly nervous. Upon searching the backpack carried by Parker, the deputies located what they recognized as marijuana. The marijuana was in an amount indicative of the intent to distribute the drug. Further search of the backpack revealed two handguns. One was a loaded and charged .380 semi automatic. The second was a .22 semi-automatic, unloaded, but .22 ammunition was located in the bag.
Parker was placed under arrest and transported to the Central Booking Unit at the Wicomico County Detention Center where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, Parker was detained by the Commissioner in lieu of $30,000.00.

Thats real comforting to hear that they got this guy off the street.How scary is that to realize he was riding thru the streets,near the schools at that,with loaded firearms.
I think that the law should stop and check all these un-licensed scooters running around town. This is the new way to transport drugs around. All the trafikers use them.
They used bicycles but now they've up-graded to scooters.
They do use scooters, when they're not using one particular cab company.
wasn't Kendel Parker caught in a high school with a hand gun. got to love tough time for gun crime.
