Salisbury Police Department Press Release

On June 10, 2009 at approximately 4:05 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the JC Penney Department Store at the Centre at Salisbury in reference to a shoplifter. Upon arrival the officers were advised that store employees had observed the below listed suspect take clothing from the store and leave the store without making any attempt at payment. The suspect was apprehended and the clothing was recovered and returned to the store.

ARRESTED: Rachel Lynne Pryor, 19 years of age Fruitland, Maryland

CHARGES: Theft (under $ 100)

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900020259


On June 11, 2009 at approximately 12:54 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Royal Farms Store on N. Salisbury Boulevard for the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival officers were advised by store employees that the below listed suspect had been observed taking two (2) cartons of cigarettes from the store without making payment. The officers located the suspect several blocks away and recovered both cartons of cigarettes. The cigarettes were returned to the store.

ARRESTED: Steven Rodney Howard, 42 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES: Theft (under $ 500)

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900020314

theft under $500 for 2 cartons? how much were they each? $50.01

Rachel's mother works in the beauty shop at J.C.Pennys, sounds fishy to me or just plain stupid.
