On June 1, 2009 at approximately 12:10 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department were on routine patrol in the area of Records Street and observed the below listed suspect acting in a suspicious manner. The officers made contact with the suspect and a routine records check revealed that the suspect was currently wanted on an outstanding District Court Bench Warrant. The suspect was placed under arrest and a search of the suspect’s person, incident to arrest, revealed a quantity of suspected “crack”/cocaine. When arrested, the suspect was found to be within 1000 feet of the Wicomico Middle School.
ARRESTED: Daronte Lamont Jones, 19 years of age Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES:
Possession of “crack”/cocaine with the intent to distribute
Possession of “crack”/cocaine with the intent to distribute within 1000’ of a school
Possession of “crack”/cocaine
Possession of CDS/paraphernalia
Wicomico Co. District Court Bench Warrant-Failure to follow conditions of probation
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking
