It has been reported that Mr. Kenny Lloyd who works for General Services was suspended w/o pay for two weeks recently but returned to work yesterday. We're told Mr. Lloyd was in charge of some bids for some air conditioning units for the Old Court House valued at $30,000.00 and signed a contract with an alleged friend without putting the project out for sealed bid.
Not only was he suspended for two weeks, after returning to work yesterday he is enjoying the day off today, (his Birthday) as well. This time he is being paid. I think they should have a new motto for Wicomico County.
"Wicomico County, the most forgiving County in America."

They are setting themselves up for a HUGE lawsuit if they ever do decide to fire someone. All that person has to do is say look at what happened to people in the past, why am i being fired and they weren't?
Annon 9:41 Obviously have never heard of the policy In Wicomico County that states they can do whatever they want!
what is the difference between this and theft at the land fill? maybe its who you know on the 3rd floor of the gob. could the land fill guys have a case?
If they haven't fired WCDC director Doug Devenyns, then no one else has to worry. Do what you want Wicomico employees, your job is safe. No apparent leadership in Wicomico whatsoever.
maybe he'll get promoted
10:30 exactly. We heard all sorts of promises that other landfill employees would be fired but they are all still on the job. It really does pay to do unethical/illegal stuff while you are a county employee. Then there is the situation at WCDC - what a joke this county is.....
It's even worse in Somerset County because you can be forced to resigned for criminal behavior and then rehired by the same county for another position. We saw this in the forced resignation of former Warden James L. Henderson who is now head honcho at dog control. Not exactly a promotion, but should not have happen at all.
need to check WCBOE also
These illegal actions by employees present an opportunity to downsize workforce without layoffs. Do you job Pollitt.
So are they going to take new bids? Who did he give the jobs to?
I smell a kick-back, thats a crime.
Probably isnt even his own brother.
No some in Wicomico get fired. The Sheriff's Office has had a few fired. Then there are those that are in and those that are out. This county will. I repeat will be sued soon enough. They have already hung themselves on a couple of issues. Hostile work enviroment is hard to prove as a rule. The county did the job for the plantiff. Hmmmmmmmmm Just who is at the wheel of the ship ???
11:47 Ted Shea
I look at this a little differently:
Why is Mr. Lloyd getting punished when the landfill guys aren't? Why can people all over the city government make buddy buddy contracts, and never get punished?
Not saying Mr. Lloyd shouldn't have gotten suspended for two weeks, but it's kind of like Martha Stewart - she goes to jail while the big fish continue to be rewarded?
12:50:
Your right. Word among County employees is Rick Pollitt and Fred Harris wanted Lloyd fired. Ted Shea wants Lloyd kept on.
I remember when he through Alan in the dumpster.
