An Ambulance or a Fire Truck was just in an accident on Rt. 13 & Gordy Road. They were on their way to a shed fire and we've come to learn it was a property damage accident, no one was hurt.
In weather conditions like this, it's better to get there alive guys than it is to get there fast, especially over a shed fire. Glad to hear every one is OK.

well who or what wrecked?
in normal weather conditions they should drive the speed limit, obey the traffic laws and get to the scene safe. if they dont make if to the scene they arent doing anyone any good.

You can't automatically assume they were to blame, and to refer to the gender of the driver makes no sense at all
What difference does the gender of the driver make? Lou Ann has the proper training and has been driving for some time now. She has pumps, EVO, and successfully passed the MD driving test in order to receive her license from the state.
Fault will be found through the proper investigations and not through the "Court of Anonymous Public Opinion"...This could happen to anyone. Lou has been a safe driver...much safer than some.

Was the fire department driver really found to be at fault? Possibly another lawsuit against the city
Female Driver has nothing to do with it. I believe Salisbury has several female drivers that are competent in their job.
It doesn't matter who's fault it was or who was driving, period! fact is accidents happen whether male or female, in poor weather, driving is dangerous, and it makes the men and women's jobs that are prviding salisbury with the EVO even harder. Luann Hampshire has been in the fire department for quite some time and has gained respect from everyone she encounters because of her expirience poise and knowledge on a fire scene! Do not put down one person because she is a female that made a mistake...WE ALL MAKE THEM. Luann has PROVEN to be a more knowedgable fire fighter than most in the Salisbury Fire Dept, she has accomplished alot working full time with a family at home! She is more than qualified at everything she has been trained in and is a safer and better driver than most people I know! You all see this as your one chance to put down a woman in the fire dept that is showing most she has more than what it takes to hang with the big boys, in fact she is showing up most of the big boys, this angers alot of you so the first mistake you see from a female LT, your going to try and destroy her poise and make her think she is not cut out for this....well you can stop now, she is strong and has alot of will power, this is something she has taught her kids and many she has come in contact with...fact is YOUR WRONG and you know it. LT Luann Hampshire will continue responding, riding and showing Salisbury that she has an active role in keeping us safe!

It dosent matter the "WOMEN" behinde the wheel. In fact it is very possible it could have been you,and possibly ended up worse! SO before annocing on the "Internet" your rude,and ego inlarging remarks, think about what {Could have happend} And be thankful. Luann is not only a women but an intelligent, caring{to caring}, giving, forgiving, catious Women. And Im not sure if I can say I know to many at the "FEW" stations I have been to, who are. It certaintly gets me how "MEN" think that because they are men they are better, wiser, stronger exc... Neatless to say and hate to pop that so lovely EGO but POP your not. In fact we are all looked at equally. And No one is better than anyone, they are just GREAT at what they do. I know plenty of "WOMEN" FF who are more intelligent in the Stations then MEN. Think about something! If she is so horrible,and so this and that,Why is she LT and not you?? I mean you think your better but last I checked she is higher than most of YOU! So I would be choosey with my words. And I would remember that NONE of you in station 2 are innocent. And no one wants to get your feelings hurt,and have things posted about you up here,so dont post them about her. She made a mistake, And in which clearly Im sorry no matter what the Police say, Luann had her "EMERGENCY LIGHTS ON" if a vehicle does not move out of the way it is thier fault not the Driver of the RESCUE VEHICLE! Im not only a Daughter in law of Figherfighters, or Daughter, Im a niece,cousin,and grandaughter to a Sheriff, and several Officers. Who have "CONFIRMED" that info. What if this Accident was caused by you?? How would you feel getting on here and seeing how people who you have "HELPED" are bashing you?? And at that with no names. Because honestly to me it seems as if you were revealed you would be ashamed. You think it is cool to kick someone while down just to make "SO IN SO" like you, or make yourself look big. Little do you realize this makes you look very small. Bashing a women who could very well be the one on duty just when you are "HURT" and yet you say such things. Its disgusting and very petty. I think its time you stopped being 5year olds and becoming your so called "MEN" and saying this to LT LUANN HAMPSHIRE. Not here where you can get a pat on the back for making remarks. Its just ridiculous. She is remarkable and has taught so many, including myself so much. She is a mother, and grandmother. This was something that happened, not something she did. It was taken care of. And as far as im concerned it is not yours or other stationes place to put there "Peanut gallery" 2 cents in. It is for the Police and for Mrs Luann. Thank you Very Much.
I look at news alot, I look at peoples response to the news. In my (our) position, we are the news! Gentlemen I don't know many of you and from the looks of things I really don't care to, One of my closest friends is in your department as an honorary member! From what I've been told Salisbury Fire Department bases itself on Honor, Integrity, and Courage, Something we also thrive on in our business. You people have the nerve to get on a web site no less and put a fellow firefighter down for doing her job...A FELLOW FIRE FIGHTER, so you all dont support your fellow fire fighters? where is the HONOR in that? you all will get on here and post a blog spot so that noone can see your name, then will turn around tomorrow and talk to her like you are her best friend...and you say you have INTEGRITY? Lastly from everything I see and hear about Lieuenant Hampshire she has more courage than most of you, instead of letting you get to her with your ignorance she is still active in your department!! Fact of the matter is gentlemen, Most of you need to get off your butts, step down off of the pedistal you put yourself on and worry more about your jobs and supporting those who stand beside you!
